Our Approach
Every project begins long before construction.
Most construction problems aren't caused on site — they're caused earlier, by unclear scope and poor planning. TerraFirm runs every project through the same six-step process, whether it's a new driveway, a drainage fix, or a full site development.
Plan
We walk the site, review conditions and constraints, and understand what you're trying to accomplish before proposing anything. Access, drainage, utilities, and grades get considered up front — not discovered mid-project.
Define
The scope goes in writing: what's included, what's excluded, what it costs, and what it depends on. Clear expectations before work begins are what make the rest of the process boring — in the best possible way.
Coordinate
Materials ordered, schedule set, utilities located, site logistics arranged. Mobilization happens once, with everything ready — not in pieces while the site waits.
Build
This is where the work gets done — and because of the preparation, it goes smoothly. We show up when we said we would, do exactly what we agreed to, and keep the site clean while we're at it. If something unexpected turns up, we tell you right away and agree on the fix in writing before moving forward. No surprises on the final bill.
Verify
Finished work is checked against the plan: grades, dimensions, drainage performance, finish quality. The plan is the standard — not memory, and not "close enough."
Close Out
Final walkthrough together, documentation and photos delivered, site left clean. The project isn't done when the work stops — it's done when it's closed out.
